Previously, residents and organizations had the opportunity to comment on the Scope and Detail Memorandum, the initial document for the environmental impact assessment. An independent committee (the Environmental Impact Assessment Committee) has also issued recommendations regarding the next steps; please see this news article. Among other things, the report indicates that objectives need to be formulated more precisely and that it must be made clearer which alternatives will and will not be explored further.
All comments and recommendations are now being incorporated into a Response Memorandum. It is expected to be completed this summer. After that, it will also become clear which solutions will be explored further.
Participation starts in the autumn.
This also means that public participation regarding the location study for the Ravelijn Bridge will start in the autumn. The Municipal Executive’s decision to do this is deliberate: it must first be clear which options are on the table, so that residents and stakeholders can participate in the discussion in a well-informed manner.
The advisory group will remain involved in the follow-up process.
