Demolition of the Uil building on Buitenveld will begin in mid-August

Starting around mid-August, the Uil building in Buitenveld will be demolished. The building is located near the Boerenverdrietsluis lock and bridge. Demolition work is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

The demolition is part of the preparations for the development of Buitenveld. This site will become a modern and sustainable living facility for Royal Netherlands Navy personnel. In the future, they will be able to stay and spend the night here. This will free up space at the Navy Harbor for other activities.

The Central Government Real Estate Agency is carrying out the project on behalf of the Ministry of Defense. Neighbors and other affected parties may notice the construction work. The Central Government Real Estate Agency is doing its best to minimize any inconvenience as much as possible.
